Coffee Meets Custom!

At Steeple & Hearth Marketing Collective, we are thrilled to announce our latest collaboration with Tug Hill Artisan Roasters, a distinguished coffee roastery known for its small-batch artisanal roasts. Keep reading to learn about how Steeple & Hearth helped Tug Hill Artisan Roasters meet their online dreams and where this partnership is headed next!

Crafting a digital experience as unique as their coffee

So how did this dream partnership begin you may ask? Well, even if you are not asking, it all began at a small business education meeting hosted by our local economic development center (yes, this is a plug for the amazing team at Naturally Lewis). Here, Scott from Tug Hill Roasters approached us with a great problem… the roastery was outgrowing the capacity of their existing website! After a couple brainstorming sessions, and cups of amazing coffee (my favorite is their Running George roast, which you can read more about here), we landed on a path forward.

Step One: Determine Main Goals

The first step in our partnership was to determine specific goals for Tug Hill Artisan Roasters, including their timeline and budget for the project. Here’s a quick overview of Scott’s goals for his new custom website build:

  • Reach $10k of online sales through e-commerce and subscriptions

  • Create a custom, customer portal for subscription management

  • Recreate website visuals to match Tug Hill Artisan Roasters Brand

  • Integrate St. Drogo’s Bake House and online ordering options into the Tug Hill Artisan Roasters website

Step Two: Determine Sub-Goals

On top of the high-level goals, Scott also had some smaller goals for the Tug Hill Artisan Roasters website. These included:

  • Having custom product pages, highlighting specific coffee roasts and specials (like their rotating, limited availability Coffee of the Month)

  • Offer a streamlined checkout experience, so that multiple subscriptions can be placed at the same time

  • Improve mobile-friendly viewing process

After outlining their big and “small” goals, we got to work!

The final product

Although our partnership continues, there have been major developments over the past couple of months in this partnership! These improvements include:

  • Fully operational, customer-based subscription portal (through Chargebee)

  • Increased subscription revenue

  • Enhanced website design, with emphasis on user-friendly experience

  • User-friendly mobile design

  • Website formatting for optimal SEO performance (with keyword research)

  • Ongoing partnership to continue website development for optimal performance
